We decided to go with Cohesity’s BaaS offering so we wouldn’t have to purchase a lot of extra storage infrastructure upfront. With over 900 M365 users, the amount of storage needed would have put a huge crunch on my IT budget. I’d rather pay for the Cohesity hosted service than spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on new storage systems. We also liked the flexibility of Cohesity’s pricing models with BaaS. We chose the per user licensing to fit our requirements.”
The main reason we chose the Cohesity hosted service was so we wouldn’t have to bring everything back on-prem for M365 restores. With BaaS, we can keep everything in the cloud so we aren’t using excessive bandwidth to pull that data down every day. Although cost savings were not the main driver in our decision to go with Cohesity for M365, it will be less expensive to keep our data in the cloud rather than buying more on-prem hardware in the future.”
