Cohesity Helios Wins Multiple Awards at VMworld for Data Protection

We’ve just finished the ‘dog days of summer’, but you would never know it considering the momentum at Cohesity has not slowed down one bit. Case in point: A new round of accolades from VMworld 2018 last week!

Our new Cohesity Helios — a SaaS-based solution, that will be made available on September 6th — is included in NetworkWorld’s coveted Hot products at VMworld 2018 roundup. Cohesity Helios is the only SaaS-based management solution for secondary data and apps including backups, test/dev, and archive. Adding to that, Cohesity was also the only enterprise-class data protection solution named by TechTarget’s SearchServerVirtualization.com team as a 2018 Best of VMworld Finalist in the Data Protection category. With well over 10 entrants, and the ability of the judges to not pick any other finalists, we are so proud!

VMworld is an important show for the industry, and we’re thrilled that our latest product was recognized as a standout. Cohesity Helios, which was announced late last month, is a SaaS-based management solution that allows an enterprise to view and manage all of its global data and applications, wherever they reside – on-premises, cloud, and at the edge – from a single, unified solution that also comes with powerful machine-driven, predictive analytics. With Helios deployed, enterprises will see significantly improved efficiencies, get much better at predicting future requirements, avoid downtime, and draw extensive insights from previously untapped data, all while reducing their cost.

Helios is supported on Cohesity 6.0.1, and Cohesity 6.0.1 was GA on August 22 — you can find out more about the new Cohesity Helios here.

Also, one of our wonderful customers, AutoNation, sat down with theCUBE hosts to discuss why they chose Cohesity over Rubrik – as well as a host of legacy backup vendors – for data protection.

Our CMO, Lynn Lucas, went into detail about Helios benefits with theCUBE hosts during an interview held on the VMworld show floor. Lynn also shared how meaningful it was to talk directly with customers visiting our booth about how Cohesity can help them modernize their data centers and move into a hybrid cloud world. You can check out the video of Lynn’s interview with theCUBE here.

Other show highlights included throwing the best VMworld 2018 party, thanks to an awesome performance by Snoop Dogg. And our booth received non-stop visitors who were eager to learn more about Cohesity (and perhaps win a prize or too 🙂 ). You can see fun photos and videos of Snoop Dogg’s live performance as well as our booth action here.

Earning the VMworld 2018 Hot Products recognition and being named as a TechTarget 2018 Best of VMworld Finalist in the Data Protection category for Helios adds to Cohesity’s many other noteworthy achievements this year, such as being chosen as a 2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Data Center Backup and Recovery Software, and being named by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as one of the 61 most promising Technology Pioneers 2018.

There are almost four full months of 2018 left to go, and we have so much more to do! Stay tuned to this space to keep up with the latest on Cohesity.
